Building Industry Technology Academy (BITA)
BITA is a four-year construction training program promoted and supported by the California Homebuilding Foundation (CHF). BITA offers a comprehensive curriculum aimed at producing skilled professionals who will be qualified and confident to enter the homebuilding workforce.
The program was developed in 2002 in Orange County by BIA member companies and education leaders to provide a trained workforce to meet industry demand, offset worker retirement, and avoid labor shortages.
BITA has fostered a bright future for over 5,500 students and is currently operating in 33 high schools statewide, but the program needs your support to expand, incorporate cutting-edge construction practices, provide tools and materials, and connect students to industry jobs and mentor opportunities.
CHF provides the BITA program at no cost to California high schools. BITA runs solely on donations and grants from our generous benefactors and industry champions. You can become a part of our state’s workforce education movement and change a student’s life today. Donate to BITA.
